“The funeral procession starts tomorrow and you’re driving this?!”
“I’m placing John in the back-seat and taking the front wheel.”
“Don’t you think the chassis is a bit… gaudy?”
“It’s vintage and I think quite fitting to his instructions.”
“He did say that he wanted to be buried in style; I took it to mean well-dressed. Did you ensure an open-casket?”
“Open-casket? The entire automobile is the casket. He asked to be buried with style!”
He will be travelling in style in his next incarnation, unless the powers that be have banned cars. I liked your take on this weeks prompt.

Yep! I should of ended it with “rolling in style”.

Ha! I hope someone warned the grave diggers that they’d be needing a “larger than average” hole 🙂

Ha ha, such an interesting take on the prompt! And I agree with Ali — hope someone clarified the size of the plot and the hole ahead of time.

As one who respected her husband’s wishes and put his ashes in a Coke bottle, I totally love and approve of this! What a great way to go!

Thanks. Your husband must have had fine tastes.

I have to say this is something that is style to the extreme… (don’t you need a permit to bury a car?)

With a large enough plot on private land, probably not 😉

I saw a photo recently of a fisherman being hauled to the cemetery in his boat, although I don’t think they planned to bury the boat. But you know what they say, “Old fishermen never die, they just smell that way.”

A man, his boat, and the sea. It’s a beautiful image. I’m surprised he didn’t choose to be buried at sea.

Dear Nonnaci,
My mother in law was upset when my sister in law buried her husband in T-shirt and blue jeans. It was his style.
Nicely done.

Well that IS style…. have to go a bit deeper than six feet, though.

This is fun. I like the different interpretations of ‘in style’.

Someone was a bit ambiguous in their will, from the sounds of it! Buried Pharaoh style! love it!

Imagine the surprise of the grave robbers. They’ll be renting one of those yellow excavators!

That one little word “with” made a big difference it seems. Well done, Nonnaci. 😀 — Suzanne
